As a deepwater investigator at Ami, I make sure that the most hidden corners and unseen connections are discovered. I see having tough conversations, creating inviting speaking-up cultures, and facilitating meaningful connections between people as the key to tackling the complex challenges and workplaces of our times.
Just like the underwater world of our oceans, the true complexities, dangers, and potentials are not seen if we do not dare to look and investigate closely. By truly caring and walking the hard walk, we can get to the actual core. I flourish in my work when we manage to put tough topics on the table, face the complexity of our human interactions, and find ways to truly speak up and share ideas from premature to brilliant. I enjoy my work the most when I realize that we have found a way to create understanding and learning between all levels of the organization, where top management is proud to have learned from the building site, and where everybody in the supply chain pulls on the same strings to create safe working sites.
I believe that leading is about serving your people. The key and wisdom lie in asking the right questions to fully understand. Only then can you serve your team and unfold their unique contributions and potential.
